Running a race team
Costs
In 2012 Fultons aim to steamline their budget by 75% from last year by racing only one motorcycle across 3 classes in the TT, riding it with no adaptions for any of these races and competing in only the 1000cc 'open' class in the Isle of Man championship.
Budget will be approximately £27,000 in 2012
An idea of cost: The standard price for a pair of race quality Dunlop tyres is in the region of £360.00+vat. This one pair of tyres would last approximately one IOM TT race, or two Isle of Man Motordrome short circuit races.
In the Isle of Man TT 2012, FVS anticipate unsing approximately 6.5pairs (15 tyres) - tyre cost could be £3200 alone!
